20 years ago I beat a 4 pack a day cigarette/nicotine addiction. Part of my plan was to keep my mouth busy with things that would not put weight on me, but would satisfy my oral cravings.
I found licorice root at a local health food store. And even though there were places that I felt a bit out of place chewing on a stick, I used it where I could. It worked especially well at home and in the car.
Wash it off and peel like a carrot, or just go for it with the bark on. When it gets too mushy, cut the end off with a pair of scissors.
I know that Licorice Root will change the taste of a regular cigarette to something like burning cardboard. I am not sure how it reacts with the Honeyrose Herbal Cigarettes, but you might want to wait a few minutes after chewing on one before you light up.,P. According to information found at http://www.lifesteps.com, chewing on a licorice root, not the candy will reduce the oral fixation supplied by a nicotine habit. Licorice is good for the liver, which is a major player in the body’s detoxification process. Licorice also acts as a tonic for the adrenal system, which helps reduce stress.
